“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday,” was the concluding quote of Khalil Gibran well spoken by the Director, IIM Kozhikode.
Dr. C Rangarajan was pleased to know that the current batch of PGP at IIM Kozhikode has 30% women thus adding fragrance to a diversified batch. He urged that the commitment and skills of the students that pass out of IIM Kozhikode should benefit the nation and that idealism and ambition needs to get combined together as the future of the students is intertwined with the future of the nation.
Dr. C Rangarajan concluded with Abraham Lincoln’s quote, “Die when I may, I want it said by those who knew me best that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow.”
