Echoes-2011 kicks off with a highly charged up K-nite !!

IIM-K’s cultural festival, Echoes 2011, kicked off with a highly charged up K-nite. The campus was beautifully lit up and the Cultural Committee (Culcom) kick-started the event with sparklers and firecrackers shooting in the sky, which met with a huge round of applause by the audience.

The event took place in the campus’s amphitheatre, where students of IIM-K showcased their talent in various forms. The night saw scintillating performances by PGP 13 & 14 students, ranging from solo and duet songs, karoke, rock music played by IIM-K’s band, rap, skit and dance performances. The songs ranged from the slow romantic numbers like ‘Tu hi meri shab hai’ to Shakira’s ‘Whenever wherever’. The highlight of the night was the performance put up by IIMK alumni (PGP12) – Mayur, who left the audience spell bound by his electric guitar performance.

The students enjoyed the K-nite, cheering the students on stage. The clouds flying by in the amphitheatre, gave the event a magical ambience, which was enjoyed by one and all.  And as the Culcom reminded us in the end… “This is just the beginning”… , so we await the next 3-days.
